In the News !
Well today I shall try my hand at some rantings about the news for today.
MCA may drop weak representatives before term is up
MCA ministers and state executive councillors can be dropped from their government positions before their terms are up if the party’s central committee determines that they have not been performing.
It looks like MCA is now moving towards being a more progressive party, for the benefit of Democracy in the nation. I have to commend their efffort in trying to maintain the 2 term ministerial limit and I hope that other parties will follow suit in their reforms. Finally a move that will encourage new blood and ideas into our political scene. Kudos.
Chua explains hospital foul-ups
Staff communication breakdown and failure to work as a team were the reasons behind the recent administrative foul-ups at the beleaguered Sungai Petani Hospital.
Ok this is horribly pathetic. With all the bad publicity on Sg Petani hospital, one would have assumed a federal investigation on what is going on in this hospital. Instead, the public continues to be fed with various excuses , while looking on in horror as more “mistakes” are committed in this “hospital”. Maybe the lives of the citizens in Sg Petani are not as valuable as those in bigger cities, or maybe it is just the maternity ward!!! Come off it … Health Minister do something about this ” Hospital”
Selangor started fight early this year
Selangor’s fight against dengue started early this year, way before the Health Ministry is poised to begin its large-scale anti-dengue operation from Oct 1.
I actually read this with a alot of irony. How many of you have been approached by people who claim they are representing the Ministry of Health, The Municipal Council and etc, who wants to talk to you about dengue, and in the end sells you a 1 year fumigation subscription. I’ve even heard of cases where the complains/appeals to the Health Ministry for fumigation falls on deaf and indifferent ears. The irony of it all !! Maybe the Government will be kind enough to release the list of hotspots, so that us citizens can play out part in cleaning up.
Transvestite fights off snatch thieves like a real man
Four snatch thieves picked the wrong victim when they tried to grab the handbag of a transvestite, who yelled so loudly that nearby policemen heard the scream and eventually nabbed three of them.
Ok, I just find this title totally offensive. No I am not homophobic, it is how the title would suggest that transvestites are fake man ??!!. Somehow it reeks of discrimination here, although other ppl might read it differently. My 2 cents worth
Palanivel wants Samy to continue leading MIC
After being declared as the heir apparent by his party boss, all MIC vice-president Datuk G. Palanivel wants to ensure is that Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu continues to be the president.
This on the other hand is one party, who is completely opposite from the MCA. Enuff said.
Watch on TNB performance
The Malacca state will from now on monitor power supply applications by industries.
Actually , yesterday’s news and the day before that waws more interesting on this topic. I can’t believe that TNB refuses to claim responsibility of power disruption, prefering to blame it on ” Contractors”. Now in any organizations, contractors in theory , represent the company as well, and have to adhere to a set policies , similar to that of employees. I can’t understand how TNB says that they have no control over these contractors….sigh…. Pass the buck .. maybe I can get it sent to Bangi Training Centre.
Errant officers to face music
Action will be taken against National Drug Agency officers who failed to attend two anti-drug campaign programmes in Kuala Lumpur and Penang recently, said the agency’s director-general Datuk Hamzah Abdullah.
Ahah, another filled with irony. I remember when I was in Secondary School, where the Red Cresent (PBSM) wanted to organize a drug awareness week, they invited Pemadam ( NGO for Drug Awareness). Pemadam had the cheek to demand payment for a speaker !!!! Do your job ppl !!!

You know what I think.. I think these days our local newspapers are like the tabloids. They put in too much shit they think it’s juicy without substantiating the authencity of their stories… and PLUS, they make horrible corny headlines too. Wankers.
