Reminder: RM1 Valid Until 6 December 2005
A gentle reminder for all of you are still holding on to those RM1 coin. As announced by Bank Negara Malaysia on 5th September 2005, RM1 coins are to be withdrawn from circulation. Consumers have been given a 3 month grace period starting 7th September 2005 to trade in their RM1 coins at commercial banks throughout the country. Coins will continue to be legal tender until 6th December 2005. On 7th December 2005, the coins will cease to be recognised at its face value. Today is the 2 December 2005. You have another 3 working days to trade in your coins. So do it now to avoid losses. Consider yourself reminded and warned.
