Reminder: Update Your Touch ‘N Go Card

I heard about this a while ago but totally forgot about it. Then Shannon brought this up again today. Touch ‘N Go card users need to update their cards by 8th December 2005. Basically the update is for the security firmware (software update) within the card itself. There is no need to change cards. All that is required is for users to load their cards at a reload counter. During the loading process, the card’s firmware will be automatically updated. I’m not sure how true that is but I’ll take his word for it (since I’m not a card holder). One way or the other, please update your cards by 8th December 2005 or risk a lock out. Consider yourself warned.

Aiyo. What a terrible hassle. For busy people this is a pain in the gluteus maximus. Well, better to have a security upgrade than having our hard-earned money being lost to unscrupulous techies in the backroom fiddling with rows of data in the enterprise database.
