Christmas (read: C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S. NOT X’mas) is a joyful time as it celebrates the birth of Christ more than two milleniums ago. It is symbolic in its meaning (although somewhat inaccurate in its actual date in the Gregorian calendar). It symbolises God’s love and his mercy to all.

Ever notice that no matter how tough a time you’ve had through the year, Christmas always brings a sense of joy, regardless of your race or religion. You see and feel a lot more joy in the atmosphere. IMHO, it is not the glitter of commercialism. It is not the shimmer of presents. It is the tangible hope that we feel. And it shows on the faces of people you pass on the street.

So what are you doing this Christmas? If you have no plans laid out for the weekends leading up to Christmas, why not join in celebration of the birth of Christ? Full Gospel Assembly (FGA) will be hosting a Christmas musical. A youth church production, the musical will tweak your funny bone and your heart strings as it that takes a humourous and contemporary view of the essense of God’s love and sacrifice.
