New Year’s Eve (2006) - Choose Your Destination (Klang Valley)
Christmas has passed and New Year is just around the corner. On the 26th, the world spent a moment in silence, remembering those who perished in the tsunami. But a few days later, the masses will congregate to usher in the new year. The question is, where will you be?
Last year’s festivities were cancelled due to the unfortunate event. This year, plans are already set in motion and New Year’s Eve will be celebrated at several locations in and around the Klang Valley. However, there hasn’t been much hype on these events, or at least not as much as I’ve come to expect over the years. Subdued or not, have no doubt that it is happening. Have you made your plans for your New Year’s Eve? If not, perhaps you might like to consider one of these locations:
- Along Star Hill and Lot10, Kuala Lumpur
- Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
- Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur
- Dataran Shah Alam, Selangor
- Genting Highlands Resort, Selangor/Pahang
- Ikano Power Station, Selangor
- KLCC Public Park, Kuala Lumpur
Join the crowd and watch the performances and fireworks displays that are being organised. Alternatively, you may choose to spend some quality time with family and friends. Whether you choose to go out or stay home, just remember to do everything in moderation. Especially remember NOT to drink and drive.
As for me, well, I’ll probably be spending my eve at some distant location. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Haha. I figured as much. I don’t particularly like those mobs either. Prefer something private with family and friends. Or just sulk in my room.
