2006 New Year’s Resolution
I don’t usually make resolutions. But this year, I shall make an exception… or rather, I am going to make it a habit to make an annual resolution. Set some goals and targets for the year. I need to find direction in life and I think that one way to do so is to set milestones to mark out the path for the coming year.
I am resolved to move from my current employment. My number one resolution for the coming year is to finalise and complete that transition by end of January. At the moment, I am curious about the world outside of Genting Berhad. Granted that GB is a wonderful company to work for with great opportunities to be pursued. But my curiousity needs to be quenched. I am not ready to commit to a long term career. Not until I have seen and grazed at other pastures. Only once I’ve satisfied my curiousity will I be able to make a concious decision to commit myself for a longer stint.
I need to lose weight. I am a fat obese baffoon! Life has been good to me over the years. Either that or I’ve been really stressed. One way or the other, I’ve been constantly gaining weight since leaving secondary school. This has to stop. I am now making a concious decision to lose between 10 to 15 killograms by the end of 2006. I hope that everyone who’s reading this will keep me accountable for this commitment. To achieve this, I commit to going to gym thrice weekly. In addition to losing weight, I shall endeavour to build my stamina and strength.
I will learn Steps! Having attended beginner Step classes at California Fitness consistently through November and December, I’ve found myself drawn to it. I think Steps is a great way for me to learn rhythm and coordination. I have neither. And probably worse of all, I have no tempo. I hereby commit to attending as many Steps group exercises as possible and making the transition from beginners to intermediate and eventually to advance by the end of the year.
These are my three New Year’s resolutions for 2006. They are goals and milestones that I believe are realistic and achievable. By putting it down in words, I intend to keep track of it and not let it be lost in thought. To those who know me, please hold me accountable for my commitments.

Isn’t steps addictive :D!
I greatly recommend it for those who wants a little variety in their exercise routine. And it’s also a good way to train your sense of rhythm and coordination and it’s much more fun compared to most classes (unlike body combat that you’d most like get the same routine based on their revisions after a while, hi-lo which is almost essentially have no variation on height, etc.).
It’s also trains your ears to listen to the “beat” (the typical 4-beat dance music is much easier to identify), definitely very useful if you are planning to take dance lessons ;).

To archive all these, do u realized that u need to have one and the most important change?
SLEEP EARLY WAKE UP EARLY.
1. Be an early person. Both of gym/classes and work. You will take in first breath of fresh air! The first very energizing breath of life!
2. Sleeping late like what u did for the past few hours (e.g. each hour a blog) doesn’t helps you to move forward faster. If u need to change, u need more energy. 10pm till 2am is the “rebuild-cell” time. You might not be able to sleep as early as 10pm till 12am maybe due to late dinner or fetch me back, or others. But, staying up till 3am?????
I will put these 2 as my new year resolution!

I meant “archieve” in my previous comment. Of course indirectly is my fault, I will keep that in mind.
Here we come 2006!!! You don’t run!

I would definitely need to check the schedule this week. Somehow I just wonder when CF is going to roll out their Power Step classes. Their beginner steps are slightly simple for my level, yet their Step Moves are INSANELY hard! X(
