Giordano Rebate Promotion
Was out at Suria KLCC yesterday looking for some Chinese New Year (CNY) clothes. Since I had some Giordano vouchers, I obviously went to Giordano to see what they had to offer. I was quite surprised to see that they had a rebate promotion in conjunction with CNY.
The rebate promotion was for the period beginning 20th January 2006 through to 28th January 2006. Cash rebates were given for every purchase of non-promotional goods (e.g. non-discounted and non-bestbuy) totalling RM150.00 and above in a single receipt. Here’s how the promotion goes:
- 20th January - 22nd January 2006: RM50.00 cash rebate
- 23rd January - 25th January 2006: RM40.00 cash rebate
- 26th January - 28th January 2006: RM30.00 cash rebate
What this means is that if you purchase RM150.00 and above, they’ll deduct the promotion cash rebate from the total. For example, if I purchased RM150.00 of goods on 23rd January, I’ll only have to pay RM110.00. That’s a 27% discount (RM40.00)! Too bad I didn’t know about it earlier, else I would have gone on Sunday and get a 33% discount (RM50.00). The last period will give you a 20% discount (RM30.00).
The best part about all this is that I got the Giordano cash vouchers from Genting at a discounted rate of 30%. That means for every RM100.00 in cash vouchers, I only pay RM70.00. The discounts are stacking in this case, since the vouchers can be used anytime, even on promotional and discounted items. Double discounts!
WL bought a pair of pants (RM129.00) and I bought myself a red shirt (RM45.00). After the rebate, we paid RM134.00 for the purchase. Take away 30%, I actually only paid RM91.00 for RM170.00 worth of clothes. 46% in discounts, total. Hehe. I have my red shirt, so I’m happy. WL has her new pants, so she’s happy. Giordano got my business, so they are happy. Everyone happy happy for the coming Chinese New Year. How about you? Better hurry before the promotion ends 28th January 2006. The earlier you go, the bigger the rebate.
Gong Xi Fat Chai! Happy Chinese New Year!
P.S.: I only saw this promotion at the Giordano branch in KLCC. Don’t know about the other branches. I’ll go check out the Sungai Wang branch later today (maybe).

Don’t have to go SWP to check. I can confirm that they do have that promo as I was there last weekend. =D
