I finally received some information about the Golden Holiday Packages that are going to be on offer tomorrow when MAS Travel Fair 2006 officially opens for bookings. I’ve been trying to get into the MAS Travel Fair site since midnight yesterday in order to gleen some information about the flight fares and Golden Holiday Packages that are on offer. Unfortunately, my attempts have been met with little success. I assume that the same is true for a large majority of bargain hunters looking for a good deal. As promised, I’ll be sharing it with everyone.

All the packages are free-and-easy. That means you’ll have to plan your own itinerary. IMHO, this is way better than packaged tours as you get to visit the places you want to go and see the sights that you want, instead of being herded along. I’m now looking at the prices again and they are definitely good deals.

However, I must say that some of the packages are a little on the short side (meaning not enough time for you to enjoy the trip). In particular, long haul destinations where you wind up spending two days inflight. I suppose if you’re looking for a longer trip, you can just as easily purchase the tickets and plan your accomodations seperately. Alternatively, you can also get the travel agents to cobble together a better package in terms of duration. I’m sure the travel agents would be more than willing to accomodate any requests that you might make (within reason of course) as long as you’re willing to pay for it.
