MATTA Fair Package: Cambodia (Free & Easy)
A few of us are planning a trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia and have been looking around to see the sort of offers we can get. It is fortunate for us that we’re travelling after MATTA-MITM Fair 2006, which is going to be held on 17 March 2006 (2 weeks from this posting). We’ve asked around and managed to discover some packages that will be available during MATTA-MITM Fair. So in the spirit of sharing, here are the itineraries and prices for Free and Easy packages to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia.

While the tour package lists Lotus Angkor as 4 stars, Precision Reservations lists it as 3 stars. I’m not sure which one is more accurate. Use your own discretion. Haven’t found any information on New York Hotel, Phnom Penh or Angkor Holiday Hotel ,Siem Reap (yet).
Notes:
- Prices are in USD
- Validity period between 10 February 2006 and 30 September 2006
- Prices are inclusive of hotel acoomodations based on twin sharing, hotel breakfasts, and air-conditioned coach transfers between airport and hotel
- Prices are exclusive of entry visa fees, air tickets, airport tax, guides, meal (other than hotel breakfast), entrance fees, and other expenses not mentioned above (itinerary and notes).
Idle Chit Chat
The packages above are identical in itinerary. No surprise there, since they are Free and Easy packages, which essentially consists of bed, breakfast, and airport transfers. The rest you’ll have to plan it yourself. Since we’re going to be in Cambodia for at least 5 Days / 4 Nights, I’m thinking a combination of the two packages above. The alternative would be to take one of the guided tour packages that I’ll publish in the next post.
What do you think? Is it worth the price, or are we better off cobbling together our own accomodations.
