WL and I went to MidValley this morning. As usual, we drove down to level P2 of the basement carpark and left our car at one of the parking bays in section B. We went about our business and returned to the car to drop some things off before lunch. That’s when we had the following conversation.

WL: Smells like shit here.
Me: Yuck! Last week when we were here also smell like that. We park opposite there and got same smell ma. Must be near the shit pipe.
WL: Yalor, yalor. [Stopping to put our things into the car] Really bad wei. Did we step on shit or something?
Me: No la. Cannot be. We were in the shopping complex the whole time what.
WL: True also. Really very bad smell.

Just out of curiousity, we took a look at the place where we were parked last week. That’s when WL pointed to the floor and told me something that made my stomach turn.

WL: Yo! Look at the floor. Its the sewage water coming out!
Me: [looking at the wet floor] Ew! Leaking isit? [Me looking at the ceiling to see if there was a leak overhead]
WL: Down there la. Bubbling out of the floor! Fast fast move your car somewhere else.
Me: Need ah?
WL: Yala. So smelly here and shit water coming out of the floor! Pity those fellas parking on top of the shit. Come back the car sure stink because the smell will seep in.
Me: Yalor. Somemore want to get into the car also need to walk through the shit. YUCK!

So I complied and removed my car to section A, hopefully safe behind a wall where the muck won’t get to us.

Me: Should be safe here gua.
WL: Sure or not?
Me: At the rate the shit coming out, should have at least two hours before it gets here gua.
WL: Oh, ok.
Me: But here hor, also will flood one. That’s why always so empty.
WL: Is it?
Me: Ya, last time I come here raining heavily, whole place covered in water.
WL: Yo! Next time go straight up to P1.
Me: And that’s why its always full up there.

So yeah, a shitty day inside Mid Valley’s carpark. Talk about being full of shit! The maintenance was so bad that sewage was leaking out of its tanks and pipes. It was a good thing the leak didn’t happen when we were parked there last week. Since the smell was already there a week ago, I assume that this is a problem that occurs quite frequently in the P2 basement carpark.

So be warned, section B level P2 of Mid Valley’s basement carpark leaks sewage. Don’t park there unless you want your car smelling like shit and don’t mind wading through sewage to get to it when you come back.

When we drove by again 2 hours later, the cleaning crew were there to mop up the mess. Good luck to them. Why don’t they just fix the damned thing so it doesn’t leak out like that? It reflects badly on the building’s management and maintenance. And to think that they are building Mid Valley Phase 2 just across the street. They should get the contractors to come over and take a look at their pipes and sewage tanks. Or perhaps it is the construction that caused the leak in the first place. Maybe they messed up when piling and building the foundation. Who knows.

I personally think its a big problem. It seems the place is starting to get old and breaking down. What do you think? Have you noticed anything else that’s broken in the shopping complex?
