Getting There - LCCT (IV): Cabs And Private Transport
Cab / Airport Limousine Service
There are abundant taxi and airport limo services going to and from LCCT. Apparently, a large portion of the existing limo service from KLIA has followed Air Asia over to the LCCT resulting in a shortage of limos servicing KLIA’s main terminal building. Interesting hearsay which is besides the point. The point is that you can catch a cab to and from the LCCT. Charges vary depending on the service and the distance.
On a side note, there are numerous illegal cab operators hanging around the airports. It was announced last week that 5 days into its operation, the LCCT was already being plagued by illegal cabbies. Granted that they are faster and you don’t have to wait in line for your turn. However, I suggest against engaging their services. But if you decide to go ahead, its at your own risk.
If caught, these illegal operators will be levied a hefty fine. Don’t expect the authorities to allow them to complete the journey. You’ll have to go through the hassle of arranging new transport. I suppose the worst case would be that you’ll wind up stranded in the middle of no where on the freaking highway. I don’t know. Just one of those urban legends.

| Travel duration | 30 minutes - 3 hours subject to destination and traffic |
Below is a copy of the Official KLIA Limo charges. The cost should not vary too much travelling from the LCCT.

Private Vehicles
If you’ve ever driven to KLIA before, getting to the LCCT isn’t that much different except for a slight detour. A number of highways feed into the area, including the North Central Link Expressway, North South Central Link, KESAS, and Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP). Just follow the road signs leading towards KLIA. Once you’re within the vicinity, you should see roadsigns that will guide you to the new LCC terminal.
| Tolls | RM0.00 - RM15.00 Varies depending on where you’re coming from and which Highway you take. I’ve taken them all and the range is as stated above. |
| Other costs | Fuel consumption depending on the vehicle |
| Travel duration | 30 minutes - 3 hours depending on destination and traffic |
For the adventurous few who refuse to pay toll, there is a way to bypass them but at the expense of fuel. Not really worth it considering the rising fuel prices but its fun to know your options. The directions below begin from Federal Highway. Feel free to jump in at any point depending on where you’re coming from:
- Get onto the link heading into Seremban Highway.
- Take the turnoff towards Selangor Turf Club.
- At the Turf Club roundabout, make a 6 o’clock exit (U-Turn).
- Take the second left turn on your left which leads to a traffic light
- Take a right a the lights and follow the entire stretch of road (passing through Serdang Jaya) until you reach a T-junction with a traffic light.
- Hang a right at the traffic lights and go straight (keeping right) towards Kelana Jaya.
- Keep going straight through Kelana Jaya (you’ll pass a Pasar Borong on your left, McDonalds, etc) until you reach traffic lights at a flyover.
- Take the left turn towards Cyberjaya (the right turning will take you to Puchong).
- Follow the sign boards towards Dengkil (You’ll pass by Lim Kok Wing, DHL, and MSC on the way).
- Dengkil town consists of a single road with a traffic light guarding a T-junction. At that junction, take a right turn.
- Go straight down the old road until you see the Bangi turnoff. Take that turnoff and it will connect back to the KLIA highway.
