Little Napoleons on the ship… don’t be one!

It’s really interesting that, the higher up the ladder you go in your company, the greater the overwhelming temptation to control people to get things done. Well I can tell you this - you and your subordinates are going to have a heck of a miserable time. I’ve been there and done that, trust me.

MY Team Vs. Malaysia National Squad

The local football reality show, MY Team, just saw its grand finale. It was MY Team Vs. the Malaysian national squad. MY Team in blue gave team Malaysia in yellow a run for their money. MY Team was the first to score in the first half. The national squad scored the equaliser in the same half and took the lead late into the second. MY Team almost made the equaliser in injury time but was denied by the goal post. The end result was 2-1 to the Malaysian team. In my opinion that result reflects badly on the national squad.

BHPetrol… uggggh, what a horrid logo.

Ahhh… I finally found out who is behind that awesomely GARISH orange petrol station logo. Someone told me that BP was being bought over; that someone should have made it clear that it was BP M’sia that was being taken over.

Distance, Familiarity, Death And Taxes

…makes the heart grow fonder…
After a rather long extended holiday to Cambodia and Singapore, WL and I are once again back on Malaysian soil (well, technically, we were back on the 18th for about 10 hours). After 10 days of spending US and Singapore Dollars, eating foreign food in unfamiliar places, I must say that I’m glad for the taste of local food.

After Cambodia and Singapore, I’m actually quite glad to have Malaysian food once again at Malaysian prices in Malaysian currency.

The Great Singapore Sale 2006

Yep. Its that time of the year again. When WL and I were planning our trip earlier, we hadn’t really thought about the Great Singapore Sale 2006 (GSS2006). The reason we were going down to Singapore was because we had taken extra days of leave and had the entire weekend after our Cambodia trip free. WL decided she wanted to bring her parents down to visit an old friend. So it wasn’t until we were arranging for accomodations during MATTA Fair that we realise we were going to miss the grand sale in Singapore by a mere week.

Goin’ South

Our Siem Reap trip is almost over. It’s 0930 over here and we’re into the final minutes of our stay before we leave for the airport and our flight home. However, our vacation is still far from done.

Siem Reap: 0430 And 0600 Hours

We’ve been here 3 days and 3 nights; spending 2 of the days crawling through the sprawling landscapes of Angkor (or Capitol in English). The place is strangely magical. Walking through the ruins gives you a sense of awe and wonder at the magnificence of the structures. You can’t help but be amazed by the architecture of centuries past.

Siem Reap: How’s The Weather?

This morning, I woke up feeling a little groggy from too little sleep. The night before, we were rushing around packing our luggage and comfirming our check lists in preparation for our planned trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. After a quick ride to the LCCT, and a short two hour flight on Air Asia’s flight AK846 we finally set foot on the hot dusty tarmac of Siem Reap’s International Airport.

SPAM

While I have been missing in action for the better part of two weeks, it doesn’t mean that I do not check up on the site now and again to see if anything new has turned up. Boredworkers.com has pretty much kept a low profile in terms of publicity. As such, we have managed to keep SPAM to a bare minimum. As of yesterday evening, there were exactly 46 spam comments, that Akismet has been so kind to catch.
