Air Asia 1,000,000 Tickets From RM0.99

Following the success of last years 2,000,000 ticket giveaway, AirAsia is once again offering tickets for cheap on many of their local and international flights. Tickets are going for as low as RM0.99. The discounted rates apply for reservations made between 12th September and 18th September 2006. Travel period must be between 3rd January and 30th June 2007.

This is another great opportunity for budget travellers to see the ASEAN and Asia-Pac countries within Air Asia’s coverage. With MATTA Fair just around the corner, it makes perfect sense to plan your vacation for next year now (ideal for clearing annual leave carried over).

Flights to Bangkok and Phuket are going for RM49.99 and RM29.99 respectively. These are relatively cheap. Return tickets to Bangkok after charges costs around RM249.98 per person while Phuket is slightly more at RM304.98 per person. Airport tax for international flights out of Thailand is THB500 (approximately RM54).

Air Asia has also introduced a new route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Hanoi, Vietnam. The flight is going for RM79.99 one way. Return flight costs RM364.98 after fuel surcharges and tax. Airport tax at Hanoi is USD14.00 (approximately RM52).

If you’re thinking of spending your vacation in Cambodia (Siem Reap), I suggest taking a flight into Siem Reap and return from Phnom Penh or vice versa. The ticket costs the same. That way, you can enjoy both locations and save yourself another trip later. Don’t make the same mistake I did by booking return flights from the same airport. You’ll waste hours on the road between the two destinations if you decide to visit it later.

The following is a sampling of the flight charges to various international destinations from Kuala Lumpur. Prices are correct at the time of sampling.

With cheap fares like these on AirAsia.. I have visited Siem Reap (RM8.88), Bangkok (0 fare), Chiang Mai (RM49.99) and KK (0 fare). Have even booked a flight to Hanoi (intro fare at RM49.99). Can’t wait for their new routes to Shenzen and Xiamen.
Let’s see what MAS can offer at the MATTA fair …

    Dear Sir,

Could you provide to me procedure or step for us to do reservation on the promotion tickets from K.Lumpur to Penang.

    Thanks for your co-operation.

    Azron

G: Use the AirAsia website. It is the same as a normal flight reservation via Air Asia. There’s no special method for taking advantage of the promotion. Register/login to the site and select the flights that you want. If the promotion price is available for that particular flight, it will be displayed. Just select it as the flight itinerary that you want.
