Comments on: Download YouTube Videos

Hey guys,
I have an iMac G5 running tiger 10.4.7 and I an having a wierd problem. Whenever I go to a site that has an embedded youtube, flash or some kind of video, there is no sound. If it a quicktime file there is no problem. There is not sound no matter what broswer I use, firefox, camino, safari, or shiira. And keep in mind that about a week ago I was not having this issue.

Help Would be awesome

YouTube will disappear, just like Napster, because all the copyright holders like recording companies will sue the pants off them. You see, the You Tube stuff contains lotsa copyrighted music videos and the like and in the USA (YouTube is American after all) it’s not easy to just say in the courts, “Hey, I’m not responsible for my clients’ content,” — not easy at all.

hey yoew… ok, first of, this comment has got absolutely nothing to do with your post… heh… i did read it though… funny, i’ve never thought of dl-ing the videos from youtube….oh well :)

anyways…. i kinda need a tremendously huge favour from you, bit shy to ask in public la, d’you think you could shoot me an email anytime real soon? like in the next few days, like tomorrow, or erm, now? hahaha… anytime you’re free la, but asap would be good… thanks!

Jim: Yeah, that’s the easier way. But it requires Firefox. I try to please everyone :p Does the plugin still work with the latest firefox update?

There is an easier way. Just install VideoDownLoader to your Firefox. Click on the shortcut button when you’re browsing your youtube. A window will pop-up with a link. Just download straight from the link.
