The HPPP
You must be wondering what the heck is HPPP. Looks like Hippopotamus with all the vowels and unimportant consonants stripped out. Well, in actual fact, it is Hewlett Packard Postie Patrol. An HP PayPerPost Postie Patrol (HPPPPPP which is even cooler than the first abbreviation).
Check out the video recording of the PPP3 event:
The story behind this video is that HP and PPP are giving away 5 sets of HP’s new 6-megapixel digital cameras as well as a HP photo printer. A complete package for digital photography and digital photo printing. To top it off, PPP is throwing in USD1000 in cold hard currency for posties who successfully complete the Postie Patrol challenge. In this particular case, the challenge is a multimedia scavenger hunt where Robyn (the heroine) had to earn 20 points by looking for and capturing photo stills and videos of a list of items.
The video is hilarious. Ted’s a crazy dude while Robyn’s downright sporting to put up with the Posties Patrol on a freezing Chicago morning. The part where Robyn’s trying to make a snow angel was really funny. So was the snowball comment along with the countless quips and one liners that were thrown in by Ted. I kinda laughed out loud when I first saw the clip. Good thing it’s the holiday season and the office is relatively empty. My only other colleague in the office with me must have been wondering what had gotten into me. Probably thinks that I was drunk on the bottle of red wine that’s sitting on my desk.
I guess this video clip just shows how much fun it is to be a Postie living in the US. Wonder if they’ll ever do a world-tour Postie Patrol. Highly doubtful. Would be interesting to see someone trying to take a picture of a snowball over here. Not that it’s impossible, mind you ;) If you are States side and would like to get your hands on some cool HP gear, then keep your ears peeled and eyes opened for the PPPPP. Who knows, you might be one of the lucky winners.
