2006 is in the books. However, that doesn’t mean that everything from last year is in the past and forgotten. If you captured a beautiful image from yesteryear, why not enter it into PhotgraphyCorner.com’s 2006 Photograph of the Year Content contest.

How it works is simple enough. You submit a photograph taken within 2006. The photograph must fit the criteria as outlined in the contest rules. The period for submissions is between 19th December 2006 through to 12th January 2007. That means as of this post, you still have ten days to take part in this contest.

The winner will be chosen by PhotographyCorner.com’s community members. Members who are in good standing with at least 5 community posts are eligible to cast their votes. Voting will begin on 15th January 2007 and may be run over several rounds depending on the number of entries that are received. The winner will be announced on 31st January 2006.

The rewards are plenty. There are ten prizes to be won - three place winners and six honourary mention awards (consolation) - totaling over USD14,000.

The top three prize packages are worth approximately USD3,639.95, USD2,889.95, and USD2,376.95 respectively, while the consolation winners will take home approximately USD802.95 each. Prizes consists of a cash value (payable via PayPal) as well as products and services from the contest sponsors.
