Have been putting this off long enough. What am I talking about? The Together Gather Blogger Party 2007, of course. It was initially planned for December but was postponed. The official logistics as follows:

Went to catch a movie with my cousins over the Chinese New Year holidays. It’s the first movie I’ve watched in the cinemas in a long while. So long in fact that I can’t really remember the last one I watched. We were initially planning on catching The Holiday but since it was fully booked, we wound up going for Music & Lyrics instead. A good decision in my books.

For all you computer junkies out there that just can’t get enough of the PIKOM PC Fair, this year’s first installment will be held between 6th April to 22nd April 2007 at several locations across the country. The dates and locations are as yet tentative. They’ve been known to change as the day of the even draws closer and the logistics become clearer.

Google updated their search page logo in line with Valentine’s Day. It’s sort of a tradition they practice where they have new logos for major events or calendar dates. The new Google Valentine’s Day logo looks screwed up in my opinion.

Our esteemed Works Minister, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu was quoted saying that the toll rates for the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART Tunnel) will only be announced after the cabinet has convened on the matter. But that doesn’t stop us from speculating about it.

We’re into the second month of 2007. My BE form for personal tax valuation came in the mail a couple days back. That means it’s tax season once again. If you have an account open with LHDN, you should be receiving your copy soon. Interesting to note that my name and tax number were already printed on the forms.

Was in Bangkok last week and took the opportunity to check out the prices in Mah Boon Krong (MBK) centre. What I like to think of as the Bangkok equivalent of Sungai Wang. I was subsequently in Sungai Wang to get a price update. Throw in the old Singapore price list (really old, mind you) and we have a price comparison for the three major game consoles from three major cities in ASEAN.

Backups. It is something you should really consider if you have important data. As a software developer, I can tell you that it is essential to backup data on a daily basis. I can tell you countless horror stories arising from not keeping a backup policy. However, inspite of all that ingrained knowledge, I still forget to copy out my important stuff.
