PHP Script: Spamming A Website - PHP Spambot

For today’s activity, let’s spam a website with spoofed traffic hits from a spoofed referer. Reasons may vary. Maybe there’s a top 10 listing based on traffic that you drive to them and you would like to get into that list. Maybe you want to frame a rival site for spamming. Maybe you’re just bored. Whatever the reason, here’s one way of doing it using a simple PHP script that you can run off the command line (or even embed into your site, with some modifications, so visitors unwittingly kick it off).

Perl Scripting: Checking CPAN Module Versions

It’s been a while since I’ve talked tech trash. So let’s focus on Perl for a bit. If you’ve worked with Perl, chances are that you’ve worked with CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) modules. Too Early For PC Fair

It’s 10am and I’m at Starbucks in KL Convention Centre. Had to drop WL off at work. It’s too early in the morning and the fair hasn’t started yet. So what’s a guy to do? Sit around and watch the girls walk by of course. That and also watch a gaggle of girls doing their makeup right in front of me. Would have taken some shots for you to ogle at. Unfortunately, the camera battery’s flat. Besides, why look at pixels when you can see the real thing. Come on down to the convention centre and join me. If you’re free for a conversation, look me up.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix - The Movie

Watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last Friday as part of a company event at Cineleisure. The theatre wasn’t as packed as I had expected it to be. The movie is the fifth chapter of seven. The final book in the series was released just weeks prior to the movie’s premiere.

Digi Yellow Coverage Fellow: Get Stronger

Digi has pulled a quick one on consumers. Over the past weeks, DIGI has been hinting at discontinuing the popular Digi Yellow Coverage Fellow (also quaintly referred to as the Digi Yellowman (DYM)) character from its ad campaigns. This included press releases and the removal of all traces of DYM from Digi’s websites. It got to the point that fans of the lovable icon rallied to protest the early retirement.
