I only watched Bleach anime episode 168 yesterday, after leaving it alone for about a week. Bleach episode 167 saw Kurosaki Ichigo in Vizard mode defeating the rank 6 Espada, Grimmjaw, in his fully released state. I was hoping that Bleach 168 would continue with the original story line and eventually show kiddy Nell turning into the hot chick Nell. Too bad.

The subtitled Naruto Shippuuden episode 56 has been released. From the second half of that episode, it looks like Naruto Shippuuden is going into filler mode again. The manga is currently at chapter 397 while episode 56 of Naruto Shippuuden is based around chapter 318, which means the manga is about 80 chapters ahead in story arc. Assuming around 1.5 manga chapters per anime episode, that means there’s roughly 50 episodes until the anime catches up.

WL and I watched Forbidden Kingdom on the opening night. Forbidden Kingdom is the first movie collaboration between kung fu superstars Jackie Chan and Jet Li. I went to the cinema without doing any prior research or watching any of the trailers. My only thought was, Jackie Chan plus Jet Li must be good. I was in fact expecting the movie Forbidden Kingdom to be in mandarin. Boy was I surprised.

Someone asked me the other day if I knew whether LHDN were having a road show to service tax payers during the tax submission month of April. Yes, LHDN is holding such an exercise, and as a matter of fact, I do know when and where the roadshows will be held.

Air Asia is introducing a new fee for checked in baggage. For all flights booked after 21 April 2008, a handling fee of up to RM5.00 will be levied for each piece of checked in luggage. They term if “pay for what you use”. It’s really just Air Asia’s way of bumping up the fares with miscellaneous fees. That way, they can continue offering “FREE” tickets but make back the difference.
