Bleach Episode 168: Going Into Filler Mode Also
I only watched Bleach anime episode 168 yesterday, after leaving it alone for about a week. Bleach episode 167 saw Kurosaki Ichigo in Vizard mode defeating the rank 6 Espada, Grimmjaw, in his fully released state. I was hoping that Bleach 168 would continue with the original story line and eventually show kiddy Nell turning into the hot chick Nell. Too bad.
Instead, Bleach the anime is going back to filler episodes. That’s the second ongoing anime I’m currently following going into fillers (Naruto Shippuuden is also screening filler episodes). Is this some conspiracy somewhere?
Bleach the manga is currently at chapter 315 with five Turn Back The Pendulum chapters (prologue chapters numbered with a ‘-’). The Bleach anime is following closely behind with episode 167 being based on chapter 286 of the manga. That’s about 34 chapters difference between the manga and the anime. I guess the producers made the right call by introducing some filler episodes. Otherwise, the anime would catch up with the main story arc and have nothing to show.
Quite frankly, I’m looking at the Turn Back The Pendulum chapters of the manga as filler chapters as well. Quit stalling and get on with the current time line already. Granted that they do provide some background into the current situation but I’ve sort of lost interest in the whole Bleach series.
To me, Bleach lost the appeal it had after the first run through Soul Society and Kurosaki saved Rukia. It did regain some of its shine when Zaraki Kenpachi and the Captains appeared in chapter 297 of the manga but even that was mellow.
Anyway, for those who want to catch up on the Bleach series, Bleach manga direct downloads are available @ Bleach Portal. Full Bleach anime episodes are available via direct download @ Reality Lapse.

Not only is it going into filler, but it’s turning into a Naruto crossover. Evil Kakashi is the villan, hand seal abuse, cat-finding ninja missions… there must have been leftover filler that never got used before Shippuuden started, so they sold it off to the highest bidder
G: Yeah. It’s getting absurd.
