BlueServer Ready For Reincarnation
For those of you who have been holding your breath and waiting for the return of BlueServer, your patience will soon be rewarded. BlueServer is set to make its comeback to the gaming scenes. This time around, BlueServer will be reincarnated as UC-Pro. The announcement was made by MegaBlue on the BlueServer.org place holder blog.
This is the fourth version of BlueServer. The new UC-Pro webportal will be launched on 29th September 2008. According to the announcement, UC-Pro will see many new additions, such as CounterStrike (BS-Pro CounterStrike) and Starcraft (BS-Pro Starcraft), alongside the classic Warcraft 3 server. The new servers and features will be launched in phases.
The old BlueServer required a valid local email account to register. This time round, the team will be implementing a new SMS registration system. We’ll just have to wait and see how that will function.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about the BlueServer/UC-Pro’s return. On one hand, I’m happy that they are making a comeback since since it means I’ll have something to keep me entertained when I’m bored at home. On the other hand, I’m going to curse its return since I might get hooked again on WC3 and end up with many a late night. WL will not be pleased. One way or the other, I’ve marked the date, 29th September 2008, in my calendar. How about you? Are you looking forward to its return?
