Cheap Australian Internal Flights

We are planning an Australian trip in Winter through Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and everything in between. We’ve settled the return flights to Australia; flying in at Perth on AirAsia and flying back from Melbourne on MAS. One important factor is the internal connections between the different internal destinations. I’ve been keeping a lookout for cheap internal flights and it’s finally paid off. Many of the Australian airlines (Qantas, Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger Airways) are having a promotion between 27th February 2009 through to 2nd March 2009. To make it easier to check all internal Australia flights, do a search on Webjet.

Sale ends Midnight 2nd March 2009

We managed to find a pair of cheap tickets from Perth to Sydney on Qantas for AUD176.70 (AUD169.00 for the tickets and AUD7.70 additional credit card charge). Not a bad price. Could be cheaper if the listed prices are accurate. The cheapest I could find previously was around AUD200.00 (AUD189.00 for the tickets, AUD8.00 for checkin luggage and AUD3.00 for credit card charges) on Virgin Blue (Qantas’ low cost sister company). So that leg of the journey is settled. Now we need to figure out where we’re flying out of when we head to Melbourne. It’s a toss up between Sydney, Gold Coast and Canberra depending on what we plan to do. I’ll leave that for later since the prices between Sydney and Melbourne isn’t that much different (we save about AUD6.00 per ticket during the promotion period).

In any case, now’s a good time to purchase your internal flights if you’re like us and planning an Australian adventure. Good luck and have a good trip.

You are offering cheap flights yet there is no buy tickets option for this page, it goes into a new link of google ads where all are well over the price you are showing

G: For the love of god learn how to read. I neither offer to sell anything nor am I affiliated with any airlines. The first sentence should be indication enough that it’s a promotion I found when planning my trip. And if you bothered reading to the end of the same paragraph, I recommended Webjet as a search engine for internal Australian flights. Then again, you probably wouldn’t have bothered to read to the end of this paragraph to find out either.
