One Piece Anime: 10 Years, 11 Seasons, 400 Episodes
Have been holding off talking about One Piece for the longest time until the popular Japanese anime passed the 400 episode milestone. The One Piece anime based on the popular manga of the same name by Eiichirō Oda has been running since October 1999. That means it’s also celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year.
To say that One Piece is one of my favourite animes would be an understatement. I fell in love with the care free and progressive nature of the anime. Effort is spent introducing and developing characters. It makes the characters unique and allows for some connection between the viewer and the unfolding story.
All time favourite episode is probably 378 when the full version of Binks no Sake was sung by Brooke, the Straw Hat crew’s newest nakama and musician, during their celebration after Luffy defeats one of Moria, one of the Shichibukai.

I’m not going to choose a favourite character. It’s a tie between the four original characters; Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp. They’ve been around the longest and I’ve grown fond of them all, especially all the fun they had in the early episodes.
Here’s to 10 more years, 11 more seasons, and 400 more episodes. Cheers!
