Cabbage Soup Diet: One Month Later
It’s been a month since I lost the 4kgs after following the Cabbage Soup Diet. When I was reviewing the results of the Cabbage Soup Diet, I had the nasty feeling that I was going to put those pounds back on immediately. Was I right? Was I wrong? Well, today I weighed myself for the first time since the last day of the diet. And the verdict is…

I weigh 94kg today after a full meal. On the final weigh in, I was 92kg after a full meal. That means I put back two of the kilos I lost as a result of the diet. Does that mean the diet was a failure? Not really. It just means my eating habits haven’t changed and the calories I’m taking in today is enough to maintain my current weight. The fact that I haven’t restarted my gym routine doesn’t help the matter. I think ultimately, a good eating habit and plenty of exercise are necessary to keep the weight that you lose off. Otherwise, you’re bound to just regain it.
This is especially true if you rebel in the weeks following the diet and indulge yourself. Nothing packs on the pounds like a bad eating habit and sitting on your ass all day. A good reminder for myself… See you in gym.
